to Stage

Sam King combines offbeat comedy with mind-bending magic to deliver sharp, surprising performances that leave audiences laughing and amazed. Starting his career busking on the streets of Adelaide, Sam honed his craft captivating crowds with his quick wit, absurd humour, and clever tricks.

He soon went on to perform at some of the world's biggest festivals, including the Linz Pflasterspektakel, Edinburgh, Adelaide and Perth Fringe. His journey has taken him to over 16 countries, earning accolades like Australian Street Entertainment Champion (2014) and "Best Magic" at the Adelaide Fringe (2024) for his hit show Tricks and MORE Stuff.

When not on the road, Sam performs weekly at the Adelaide Magic Theatre, bringing audiences up close to his unique, intimate style of magic. Whether at festivals, theatres, or corporate events, Sam's shows are distinguished by their absurd humour, sharp storytelling, and creative illusions.

In 2024, he was a featured performer in The Purple Rabbit, a Strut & Fret production staged aboard a cruise ship — celebrated for its boundary-pushing mix of mischief, magic, and mind-blowing mayhem. Sam has also taken his magic to the high seas as a performer for Princess Cruises and P&O Cruises, with a corporate client list that includes Qantas.
